Liposuction Before and After
Patients may ask what to expect from liposuction before and after. However though, most patients ask this question only to feed their longing to look better after the liposuction compared to how they looked before. Yes, patients must ascertain that the costs and the risks they underwent in the surgery would bear positive results as obviously reflected in their appearance, but patients must also concentrate in meeting the requirements of the liposuction before and after the surgery. Liposuction before and after: Patients must note that before they go through any liposuction procedure, the doctor must have all the records indicating the complete result of the patients physical exam to determine whether he is a suitable candidate for the liposuction in the first place. Patients must first and foremost learn that they should be in the right shape for the procedure (though not literally) to avoid as much complications as possible. It is important for the patient to inform their doctors about any medications that he is currently taking not only including prescriptions but also the non prescription or whether it may only be herbal drugs. It is only after the initial examination that the surgeon may decide that the patient may have the liposuction as his condition shows. The patient should go through a private consultation with his doctor thoroughly, sufficiently answering all questions about the procedure, antibiotic prescriptions to take before and after the surgery, what to do after surgery, the permanence of the liposuction results, and the probable complications including what to expect of the results after the process. After surgery instructions from earlier consultations must be carefully observed. This may include maintaining compression bandages, taking prescribed antibiotics, and pre caution on the patients activity level after the liposuction. Patients must acquire the necessary information about the symptoms that could possibly indicate a complication from the surgery, such as signs of infections, blood clotting or other problems. The patient also may well know about the normal conditions that he may expect after the operation. He must anticipate that when his anesthesia wears off, he may experience some pain, that he may also have some swelling after the surgery, and that he must contact his physician as these symptoms may be a sign of infections. He should also be aware that he may have scars from the surgery from the incisions made to insert the suction tubes in the body during the surgery and that he may even have bumpy lumps that are nevertheless normal in the early weeks after liposuction. The cosmetic effect of the liposuction before and after may be very good and satisfactory for the patients. However, it is possible that the cosmetic effect will not be as expected. In other words, the patients resulting appearance from his liposuction before and after may not be what he had expected or wanted. Patients then should realize that having reasonable expectations are important no matter how deceiving and convincing some photographed ads may be.The subject of before and after liposuction has rarely been so easy to understand.
